Zone X1 Police Command promise to checkmate Kidnapping, banditry, robbery.

Police in Zone 11 have assured members of the public in Oyo,Osun and Ondo states that the activities of criminals,particularly the kidnappers would be effectively checkmated and those already apprehended be made to face the full weight of the law.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police for the zone,Mr.Leye Oyebade gave the assurance during the week while speaking in Osogbo at the State stake holders meeting held at the Osun state capital.

Oyebade who was at the meeting with the former minister of Health Professor Isaac Adewole and other stake holders commended members of the public in the zone for collaborating with security agencies to restore peace and security to 
Speaking at the zone Oyebade,, thanked members of the Forum for their overwhelming support for the police. He, however, reiterated the commitment of the Zone at providing adequate security for the good people of the three component states.
The Chairman of the Forum, Barr Sola Ojutalayo, SAN earlier in his opening remarks ,commended members of the Forum for finding time to attend the meeting in spite of their busy schedule. 

While also commending the AIG and officers and men  for reducing crime in the zone, he enjoined everyone to initiate ideas and mobilize resources in support of the police to enable them continue to provide quality service delivery.
Prof Isaac Adewole in his contribution ,also praised  the AIG and his men, noting that kidnapping along the expressways has reduced. 

He however suggested the use of sniffer dogs to further fight kidnapping in the zone. He also promised to be an ambassador to champion the cause of the Forum.

Meanwhile, the AIG later held another meeting with owners and managers of petrol stations along the expressway who he asked to be security conscious
He charged them to carry out background check and bio-data of their staff particularly night  guards adding that  intelligence revealed that some of the guards employed at the filling stations were involved in kidnapping  activities.
AIG Oyebade solicited the support of the filling stations’ owners and managers whom he advised to give useful credible information to the security officers all the time.
