Local APC chapter suspends Niger State women Affairs Commissioner, Amina Gua’ar.

This may not be the best of time for the Niger State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development , Barrister Amina Gua’ar as the local chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended her membership of the party for alleged anti-party activities and insubordination to the leadership.

The decision to suspend her from the party for the time being was taken by the  All Progressive Congress APC in Paikoro local government of the state in the public interest. 

It was gathered that the party local working committee on 18th March, 2019 in a letter of notification invited the now suspended  commissioner to answer some queries which she declined to appear before the party which has led to  subsequent letter of suspension on Friday 22nd March, 2019.

According to the suspension  letter which reads “In reference to a letter dated 18th March, 2019, the local government executive working committee of the APC in Paikoro has resolved to utilize Article 21, Section A, Subsection 111 of the Constitution as amended “disobedience or negligence in carrying out lawful directive of the party”.

Continuing, “this is due to your refusal/disobedient to abide by the party’s directive within the stipulated time frame. Sequel to this, I hereby notify you of your suspension from the party until further notice”

.The letter which was signed  by the party chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Kwana was made available to newsmen in Minna at the weekend.

Earlier in a letter stated in part, “APC in Paikoro Local Working Committee invites her on the need to answer some queries in relation to the anti party activities of one Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr Ishaya Azalolo and that in several occasion you have consistently referred to the executive organ of the party as bunch of thieves of which conforms with Article 21, Section A, Subsection 1,11 and v of the constitution as amended”.

It added that the duo pleaded to have acted based on Barrister Amina Gua’ar opinion, directive and support, therefore requested her to respond to the letter first sent to her within three (3) days from the date of the letter.

When contacted, the State Secretary, Barrister Mohammed Liman said that he was yet to be briefed or to received the said letter but hope to get the letter if available within the week.

However  reliable sources closed to the party secretariat confirmed that the said letter has been received at the APC party  secretariat  since  Friday.

The letter was copied to the APC stakeholders, Zonal chairman, APC State Secretary and Chairman as well as the Political Adviser to the Governor and Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
