Aftermath of Niger State PDP Local Government Congresses: crisis not yet over

Some concerned members of the People’s Democratic Party in Niger State led by former Deputy Governor, Dr. Shem Zagbayi Nuhu has alleged that, the Senator Hamman Misau led electoral team has absconded.

Dr. Zagbayi made this allegation in Minna during an interview with newsmen remarked that several PDP party members were surprise with the development.

Zagbayi said “On the 5th of September 2020, The Local Government congresses in the State held, and all results were announced, collated and all winners were sworn-in and have since resumed as provided in the PDP guidelines for 2020, section 3.4.

“However, with exception of Agaie, Magama, Munya, Agwara LGAs where elections didn’t hold and Shiroro LGA where election held in 4 out of 15 wards.”

Dr. Zagbayi added that the concerned members of PDP are unsure of the intent of Senator Misau and his team members who sneaked out of Minna at 5:am of Sunday, leaving behind one of the members of the team who insisted he will wait to collect all results.

Consequently, he said “We make this statement as position of Members of the PDP with full awareness that no amount of treachery, Machinations and arm twisting will be allowed”

Several calls to Senator Hamman Misau phone number was not answered as it kept saying line busy.
