Eid-el- kabir: Gov. Sule charges Muslims to live a life of emulation

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has called on the Muslim Community in the area to emulate the good values of Prophet Ibrahim and live a righteous life.

The Governor made this call on Thursday, in his Sallah Message to the Muslim Ummah in the state.

The Governor who described Eid-el-Kabir as an important celebration, a feast in commemoration of the sublime submission of Prophet Ibrahim to the call for sacrifice, appealed to all Muslims in the state to live a life of selflessness, brotherhood, sacrifice and adherence to Allah’s commands.

Sule who advised Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on their relationship with Allah and fellow human beings, want them to continue to show love, understanding, tolerance and good neighbourliness.

He appealed to the people of the state to accommodate each other’s beliefs and values so as to sustain the existing peace and harmony in the area.

The Governor who reiterated that Nasarawa is a Cosmopolitan state that accommodates everybody irrespective of tribe and religion, charged the people to abide by the Laws of the land while carrying out their Lawful businesses.

He reminded the Muslim Ummah on the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic and stressed the need for them to adhere to all preventive measures particularly, maintenance of social distancing, wearing of face mask, regular hand sanitizing, among others as part of preventive measures to control and contain the spread of the disease.
