Nasarawa kidnapped CAN chairman yet to regain freedom.

The Nasarawa State chapter Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Bishop Joseph Masin who was on Wednesday night kidnapped by unknown gunmen is yet to gain freedom.

The victim is also the Founder and General overseer of the Word of God Church.

A Source close to the family said the CAN Chairman was kidnapped on that faithful day around 11pm at his resident, Bukan Sidi in Lafia, the State Capital.
It was gathered that the abductors numbering over five stormed the house fully armed and whisk the Chairman to an unknown destination.

The Vice Chairman of CAN in the State, Pastor Tayo Samuel who earlier confirmed the incident, said the abductors who reached out to the family demanding for the sum of twenty Million Naira as ransom are still insisting on the same amount.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Police command, Rahman Nansel, who earlier confirmed the incident and said the command has already mobilized its men to search and rescue the victim,could not respond to the call put forward to him, neither did he replied to the text message sent to him.
