Nasarawa state Governor, Abdullahi Sule has expressed worried over the increasing level of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the area.
The Governor who made his feeling known during a Media chat as part of activities to mark his one Year in Office, said the state has so far recorded 62 confirmed Cases of the pandemic.
According to him the number may be higher if residents of the state would volunteer to come forward to be tested.
The Governor who explain that out of this number, some persons have already be treated and discharged, said the state recorded one died.
He reiterated the state Government commitment to contain the spread of the killer disease.
Sule who commended the people of the state for their understanding during government decision to ban restriction of mass gathering, said the action was for the best interest of the people. According to him some of the isolation centers in the state are currently without people, assuring that with the cooperation of the people and adherent to government directive, the situation would get improve soon.
He called on the people to comply with government directive by washing their hands frequently, use of facemask as well as observe social distancing.
