CMD advises Journalists to be professional in their duties.

Journalists in Nasarawa state have been advised to abide by the ethics of the Journalism profession in the cause of discharging their responsibilities.

Chief Medical Director of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia, Dr. Hassan lkrama gave the advice when leadership and members of the Correspondents Chapel in the State paid him a courtesy visit in his Office.
Dr. Hassan who picked holes on the manner and attitude of some Journalists towards newsmakers, said the profession will remain noble if practitioners will continue to abide by its principles.

While assuring an improve working relationship between his Organisation and members of the Chapel, he appealed to leadership of the Union to always caution its members on the need to abide by the ethics of the profession.

Earlier, Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists in the state, Suleiman Abubakar, said the visit was aimed at cementing a working relationship between his members and Management of the Hospital.

Suleiman who commended the state government for the transformation that is currently taking place at the Hospital, called on management of the Hospital to open its door for members of the chapel who may wish to contact them to balance their stories before going to press.
