COVID-19: Ogundokun calls on the presidency, corporate bodies and private individuals to bail Osun State out as case rises to 20.

An elder statesman, Chief Abiola Ogundokun has called on the presidency , corporate bodies as well as well meaning Nigerians from all spheres of life to bail Osun State out of the rampaging pandemic which has risen to 20 confirmed index case in the State.
In a statement issued and personally signed by the elder statesman, made available to newsmen  on Thursday, he passionately appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that the Presidential Task Force directs its searchlight and intervention to Osun State.
He also appealed to Corporate bodies as well as wealthy individuals to lend a helping hand to Osun in order to save the state of the COVID-19 starring her in the face.
He said, “ I want to urge President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently direct the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 to assist us here in Osun. I also want Corporate Organisations and well to do individuals to assist our State to fight this dreaded pandemic. There is no way we can cope with the magnitude of the problem at hand now without the support of the federal government given the financial straits that the state is passing through before the pandemic. With confirmed index cases rising to 20 in the State alone, we need urgent financial assistance to curtail and prevent the further spread of COVID-19 in our state before it’s too late.”
He lauded the efforts put in place by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to contain and curtail the spread of the dreaded scourge, saying, “he has continued to exhibit his love for the people of Osun in general inspire of the lean resources of the State.”
It will be recalled that the Governor of the state, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola urged  the federal government to come to Osun’s aid after three out of the 127people returning from Cote D’voire tested positive for Corona virus.
Oyetola had predicted that if three out of 127 tested positive, it then meant that by the time the remaining 103 were tested, more people are likely to be positive.
He, however followed up immediately with the setting up of 21 man committee led by Chief Tunde Badmus to work out the modality to stem the rise in the cases of Coronavirus in the state.
Other members are former governors; Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Ogbeni Rauf Arebesola, former deputy governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore, RCCG general overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Chief Deji Adeleke, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi and Gen Alani Akinrinade amongst others.
He concluded the gravity as can be seen now  has started proving the Governor right with the inherent need to save humanity.
