Nasarawa kidnapped CAN Chairman freed.

The Nasarawa State chapter Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Joseph Masin who was kidnapped last Wednesday night by unknown gunmen has been released.

A source close to the family said he was released by his abductors at 11pm on Saturday and reunited with his family around 1.45 same night.

The victim who is also the Founder and General overseer of the Word of God Church was taken away to an unknown destination by his abductors last Wednesday, where he spent about three days with them.

The abductors who reached out to the family after taken the Chairman to their den were demanding for the sum of twenty Million Naira as ransom.

The state Commissioner of Police Bola Longe, who confirmed the released of the CAN Chairman, said he did not know whether ransom was paid or not.

According to him four persons have been apprehended in connection to the kidnap, adding that the suspects are currently been interrogated.

He said his men played vital roles that led to the released of the Bishop.

CAN Vice Chairman in the state, Pastor Samuel Tayo, who expressed joy over the released of his boss, appreciated all those that played one role or the other towards the released of the Chairman.
