Nasarawa polytechnic threatens to expel disobedient students’.

The Rector of Nasarawa state Polytechnic, Lafia, Augustine Ali Gabu, said any student who fails to abide by the policies of the institution will be shun the way out of the Polytechnic.

The Rector stated this on the occasion of the 2018/2019 Matriculation ceremony in Lafia, the state Capital.

Gabu who explained that authority of the institution will not condone students participation in Cultism, Examination malpractices, improper dressing, assault on Lecturers and other forms of disobedience, warned that any student caught indulging in these acts will not only be expelled from the institution but will also be made to face the full wrath of the Law.

” We shall be reminding you constantly about simple code of ethics, it will be up to you to conform to them, but let it be clear to all that the Polytechnic authorities will not fold its hands while others try to bring it to disrepute, for the avoidance of doubt , the authorities will deal decisively with any student or group that attempts to hold the good intention of the state government, governing Council and the management of the Polytechnic to ransom”.

Mr Gabu who commended staff and other stakeholders for their contributions towards bringing the institution to its present level of development, charged the newly admitted students to be of good behaviour and concentrate in their studies to enable them graduate successfully.

Our Correspondent reports that a total of 1342 Candidates took part in the matriculation.

out of this figure, 704 are for the Higher National Diploma, while 638 are for the National Diploma Certificate level.
