Ife-East Local Government chapter of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) has elected new officers to run the affairs of the union for two years.
The new officers were elected after the expiration of tenure of the out-gone executives and the election of the new officers was held at St John High School, Ile-Ife.
Speaking after the election, Osun state ASUSS deputy chairman, Mr. Adediran Olusegun, charged the newly elected officers to discharge their duties diligently in accordance with the union’s constitution and place the interest of the union above all other things.
He urged them to also ensure members of the union are abreast of their activities, stressing the need for them to be democratic in their activities.
The newly elected officer are; Mr. Ijirotimi, Chairman, Mrs. Elujoba, deputy chairman, Mr. Olaleye, vice-chairman, Mr Elugbade, secretary and Mr. Jalekun, Asst. Secretary.
Others are; Mr Jeleel, Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Alesinloye, Financial Secretary, Mrs. Makinde, Social Secretary, Mr. Lanolin, Auditor 1, Mr. Animasahun, Auditor II, while Mr Fafolahan, the immediate past chairman was elected as Ex-officio.
