Kwara poly, IVTEC partners on vocational training and entrepreneurship development.

The Kwara State Polytechnic and the International Vocational Technical and Entrepreneurship College, Ajase Ipo have pledged to collaborate to ensure that the set goals of the two institutions are attained.

This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the Head of Information and Publication unit of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ajibola S. Jimoh and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

According to the release, the two heads of the institutions, Engr (Dr) Abdul Jimoh Muhammed of the Kwara State Polytechnic and Dr Ade Somide of IVTEC made this promise during a courtesy visit by the IVTEC Rector to the Kwara state polytechnic,ilorin on Monday, 14th September 2020.

According to the two Heads, both institutions have a lot in common, hence, exchange of ideas and experience will go a long way in achieving the set goals for which they were established by the state government. Already, two members of staff of the Kwara State polytechnic( Mr Odeyemi Thomas of Registry Department and Mr Shitu Ibrahim of the Bursary Department ), are already seconded to IVTEC as Acting Registrar and Acing Bursar respectively.

Engr Abdul therefore assured IVTEC of more support at all times.
Responding, the Rector of IVTEC, Ajasepo, Dr. Ade Somide thanked the Polytechnic authority for coming to the aid of the college and sought for further collaborations in sharing of ideas and materials needed for the accreditation of some of the courses being offered by the college.

In an earlier contribution, the Registrar of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Mr. Kolawole ‘Sheye Akande, lauded the Rector, IVTEC and his team for finding time to visit the Polytechnic.
