NSCDC nabs suspected kidnapper in Minna

A suspected notorious kidnapper, Mohammed Lawali from Kebbi state has been nabbed by the operative of Niger state command of the Command of Nigeria Service Civil Defense Corps NSCDC who demanded N2 million as random.

The Image Maker of the command , AAC1 Nasir D. Abdullahi who paraded the suspect yesterday at its office in Minna, said that the command received a distressed call from one Salisu Saidu from Suleja Emirs palace of a threat to kidnap him or pay a ransom of N2 million.

He noted that the commandant George U. Edem been a proactive officer directed the detective department to swung into action by frozen the account the suspect text to his victim who earlier agreed to pay N200.000:00.

According to him, the suspect is from Yawuri in Kebbi state was apprehended when the owner of the frozen account want to the bank for transaction who told security about his innocence explaining that the suspect only told him that his uncle will sent him money to boost his business.

Consequently, upon the arrest of Lawali he confessed to the crime and pleaded guilty of the offence
Speaking with the suspect Mohammed Lawali a 25 years old an indigene of Sokoto state who is in Scrap business man said that he regretted his action and pleaded guilty while urging those intending to do same to desist from it before the law will catch up with them.

Meanwhile, the commandant in the state Geoge Edem has warned the general public on the ongoing fake appointment letters issued by some criminal individuals to innocent citizens who are desperately looking for jobs.

He disclosed to the media for receiving some fake appointment letter who came to him to commence training and documentation urging the public to be watchful in their dealings.
