Police arrests suspected Kidnappers of Nasarawa PS.

The Nasarawa state Police Command said, not less than 12 suspects have been arrested in connection with the Kidnapped incident of the state Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport, Alhaji Jibrin Giza.

The Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe disclosed this to Newsmen while parading 35 suspected criminals on Wednesday at the Command headquarter in Lafia.

The Police boss who explained that the suspects were arrested based on intelligence and information gotten by the command, said the Kidnapped victim was rescued from where he was abandoned at somewhere in Duduguru, Jenkwe Development Area of the state.

According to him the kidnappers abandoned the victim due to the close Chase on them by the Police.

He however, denied knowledge of payment of any ransom by his family or any other person.

It would be recalled that Alhaji Jibrin, Giza, was whisked away by suspected Kidnappers from his resident in Shabu, Lafia Development Area, on Sunday February 16 and was released on Tuesday February 18, 2020. Meanwhile, the command has also arrested one Paulina Ochanya, a resident of Shabu for planning to kidnap the Mother of her close friend. According to the Police Commissioner, the suspect contacted someone to organise a gang that would kidnap the Mother of her friend on the ground that both the husband and some of her children are employees in reputable organizations and are capable of paying a ransom.

The Commissioner explained further that, unfortunately for the suspect, her contact informed the Police about the evil plans of the woman and that led to her arrest.

The Police boss who commended Officers and men of the force in the state for their efforts in the fight against criminality, appreciated the State government and the Inspector General of Police for their supports. He called on the general public especially those with useful information about criminals to come forward and give same to the police to enable them handle it immediately.
