Niger NSCDC receives N50m vehicles, motorcycles for Agro Ranger security.

Niger State Command of Nigeria Civil Defense Service Corps (NCDSC) has been given two hilux vehicles and twenty (20) motorcycles to enhance Agro Rangers from providing effective and efficient security in Niger state.

Secretary to the Niger State Government SSG, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane who presented the vehicles and others said the items worth N50 million.

He added that the gesture was to provide security support to the agency especially at Bobi Grazing Reserve where 5 company are presently engaged in livestock investment.

According to Matane “the present administration of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has made a milestone in Bobi Grazing Reserve hence the need to provide adequate security to enhanced its businesses to strive.”

He however, appreciated the partnership between the state government and the Civil Defense as this will in no small measure will ease the personnel in carrying out its security operations.

He noted that the grazing reserve covers about 50,000 hectares of land hence the worth N50 million provision of utility vehicles and other things like tents and other accommodation facilities, however applauded the Commander General, Abdullahi Gana Mohammad for establishing the corps training centre in Kontagora.

Receiving the items on behalf of CG, the state commander, George U Edem appreciated the state government gesture and assured of judicious utilization of the vehicles which will go along way in assisting to provide effective security by his men.

Edem hinted that the command has never relent in its mandates in the state which he assured to maintained while commending the
Commander General, Abdullahi Gana Mohammad for creating an enabling environment and given priority to staff welfare.

He explained that no fewer than five multi national companies were expected to invest in Bobi Grazing Reserve who will create large numbers of employment mostly from the state reiterate that Niger Command has over 150 Agro Rangers as reasonable number will be deployed to the area and will continued to train more in that directive.

Commander Edem however appealed for more support in times of logistics, funds, capacity building and personnel further needed for effective and efficient provision of security in the state and commended Governor Abubakar Sani Bello for the foresight.
