Insecurity: Gbemu community of Niger State cries out, seek Police command protection.

The people of Gbaganu community in Bosso local government Area of Niger state has appealed to the Niger State police command and the state government to come to their aide in the area of provision of security especially at nights.

A Spokesman Community Alhaji Mustapha Bina in a statement issued in Minna, the state capital lamented that the area have witnessed series of attack by some armed men who consistently for the past one week continued to perpetuate their actions.

He recalled that several efforts to arrest the criminals to no avail as the suspects targeted at the shop owners along the streets of Gbaganu most especially the provision stores and inflicted injuries on their victims after collecting their monies and other valuables.

Bina stated that the most recent ones was at the eve of Edil- Kabir sallah celebration where one of the victim identified as Musa had a fractured left hand carted away their victims monies and valuables as suspects usually come with their Sharon car for operations at night without being caught.

Also on Thursday night the same incident repeat itself between one to two in the morning where a victim Sanusi Maishagu was badly injured with several cuts on his head and knife on his stomach .
He is currently on admission at the general hospital in Minna undergoing treatment hoping that he may survived.

He further explained that majority of the shop owners who are now helpless had experienced same of recent now planning to relocate and abandoned their businesses hence the need to call on the state, local governments and security operatives to come to their aids.

It could be recalled that the same incidents had occurred in Barkin Salle, Soka Kahuta and several others in Minna metropolis and escaped.

The community therefore charged residents of the area to be vigilant and report any suspected movement to the relevant security agencies and authorities for prompt response.
